Lamb Weston products qualify for the Master Chefs’ Institute Seal of Excellence

Eagle, Idaho ( February 20, 2020 ) Lamb Weston announced that 53 potato fries products, have achieved performance ratings that qualified for the Master Chefs’ Institute Seal of Excellence. The 53 products were representative of five categories, branded: LW Private Reserve, LW Stealth Fries, LW Sweet Things, Lamb’s Supreme, and Lamb’s Seasoned.

Lamb Weston frozen potato products were submitted for testing against national competitors. Different lots of products were tested by the Certified Master Chefs independently unbranded, on 20 sensory attributes affecting taste, texture, aroma, and appearance. Lamb Weston fries also had higher combined scores for optimal levels of saltiness, crispiness, oiliness and uniformity.

Historically… approximately 20% of products tested by the Master Chefs’ Institute have earned the Seal of Excellence. “So it’s an honor having 53 of our products qualify. This rating really showcases our sustained commitment to product quality,” said Kim Cupelli, Vice President of Marketing, at Lamb Weston.
